The new NEW! yongfook.com super retard FAQ
Hello there, things have changed once again here at yongfook.com so let me ease you into things. Stemming from the fact that I am slowly becoming less averse to posting about my life again since apart from writing food reviews and banging my cock with a hammer I don’t really have that much else to do whilst sitting at my computer, I have created the new yongfook.com with CATEGORIES in mind.
You’ll notice that to the left of this article there is a single blue tab that reads “misc!”. These single tabs signify the category of an article and can be seen on all pages of the website including monthly archives. This has been implemented so that at a glance you can see roughly what an article is going to be about, whether it is a food review, a photo blog or something miscellaneous.
This way, everyone knows what they are getting the moment they start to read an article, which will nicely counter the frustration of the sub-culture of yongfook.com readers who really don’t give a toss about my life and only come here for the food reviews, so that they don’t reach the end of a “diary” style post and exclaim “he didn’t mention smegma candy!!!!” whilst furiously stabbing a low-quality grayscale printout of my face that inhabits the space next to their mouse pad.
Onto the FAQ:
I liked the old design better. Turn it back. First of all, frick you. Second, no. You are welcome to suggest improvements to this design, though.
Where are all the past comments? For the last couple of days I have spent hours and hours migrating my old flat-file archive to the new database archive, literally by cutting and pasting the text of each diary entry into an article on the database - there was no other way, short of writing some kind of page-scraping script and sitting back whilst it goes all wrong and fricks up my entire archive of diary entries. Putting the 200-odd diary entries into the database was incredibly boring and monotonous - if I had to do that for the 1000+ individual user comments I would probably go completely insane and take it all out on Charlene, my abuse-absorbing sex effigy made up of assorted paraphernalia that used to belong to my ex-girlfriends.
Where are all the pictures in your old entries? To be added. Again, it’s a lot of boring data entry and I just wanted to get the site up and running first.
What kind of stuff will be in the “photo blog”? Expect pretentious photos taken by me and given some kind of cock-joke-ridden slant in the description.

Kanchos and penis-grabbing/punching? That’s amateur-level abuse. You can only consider it a “major problem” once they start BITING and really, you can only say that you have been on the JET programme once you have had a child attempt to bite either your penis (sure, you might be wearing trousers, but they still know where it fucking IS) or your face.
Why wordpress? Just wondering cause I looked at it but chose MovableType
WP is open source, free and is also easier for me to hack around with.
Hey YF, love your site. Nothing beats quirky wry British humour. I used to live in Japan and I must say your sentiments almost exactly echo mine. It’s a tough country to be in, but quite interesting at least for a few years. Chin up and have fun!
Mr Yongfook, I’ve been occasionally viewing your site for a number of years and I have to say every time you come up with a cool update to your site, and this one is no exception. I shamelessly take design hints from page and I continue to hope you don’t send an uber megazord to fry my arse.

how long did it take you to redesign yongfook.com, and what did you use to do so??
As always, I do the preliminary design in photoshop. After I am happy with the design, I cut it up and hand-code the template using a text editor, in my case BBedit. From design to completion took maybe 2 days of leisurely-paced work.
